Job Description: Digital Content, Assistant Manager
 
Reports to: Social Media Manager, 
Function: Brand, Marketing & Communications
Purpose of the role
The Digital Content, Assistant Manager plays a key role in bringing ISP’s brand and communications to life across our core digital channels. The role is responsible for executing approved content strategies by sourcing and preparing content, publishing to social media, the corporate website and the intranet, and ensuring best-practice delivery across all platforms. Through careful coordination with schools, regional teams and internal partners, alongside ongoing performance monitoring and optimisation, this role ensures our global stories are visible, engaging, and aligned to our mission of putting learning first.

Key responsibilities  

Content Coordination & Creation

  • Work with schools, regional teams, and business partners to collect stories, updates and multimedia assets aligned to social plans
  • Adapt central content for specific channels and audiences, following brand and tone-of-voice guidelines
  • Create or source imagery, short-form video, and copy using ISP asset libraries and approved tools
  • Support content translation or localisation where needed
 

Publishing & Community Execution

Social Channels:

  • Prepare and schedule posts using the global social media management platform
  • Ensure all content is properly tagged, conforms to ISP safeguarding policy, and follows platform best practice
  • Monitor tagged posts and mentions; escalate risks to the Social Media Manager
  • Support community management through timely engagement and routing of enquiries
 Intranet and Group Website:
  • Upload and publish approved content, ensuring accuracy, formatting, and tagging for optimal navigation
  • Maintain content freshness by regularly reviewing pages for outdated information and coordinating updates with content owners
  • Support global campaigns and leadership communications rollouts on intranet and Group website
  • Ensure web content follows SEO best practices (meta tags, alt text, internal linking, keyword alignment)
  • Coordinate closely with the Social Media Manager and Communications Manager to ensure messaging consistency across channels
  • Conduct routine content checks to ensure safeguarding compliance, correct branding, and accurate group data
 
Performance Monitoring & Insights
  • Track KPIs and weekly performance dashboards in coordination with the Social Media Manager
  • Provide insights on audience behaviour, post-level performance and optimisation opportunities
  • Support experimentation with new formats, emerging channels, and LLM-driven content behaviour
  • Track engagement trends on intranet (views, time-on-page, contributor adoption) and report insights to Comms leadership
 
Governance & Quality Control
 
  • Ensure compliance with global brand guidelines, safeguarding requirements and regional approvals
  • Maintain organised co-collaboration platform and publishing calendars
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in workflows, templates, governance processes
 
 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Practical experience managing content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube etc.
  • Competency in using publishing and analytics platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout Social)
  • Comfort editing short-form video and image assets using tools like Canva
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics, audience insights and reporting dashboards
  • Working knowledge of CMS tools (e.g., SharePoint / Sitecore / WordPress)
  • Excellent coordination and communication across multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
  • Creative mindset with curiosity about emerging trends and AI-driven content discovery
  • Passion for storytelling in education and student success
